Independent Quality Solutions Limited (IQS) has been established since 2005 

IQS employs a team of technical experts with various product specialisms. IQS provides product compliance and product safety advice as well as technical support for companies.

Managing Director, Jerry Burnie, worked for two of the largest UK Supermarket chains, Tesco and Safeway. The experience of working as a Technical Controller for Non-Food product ranges, responsible for technical policy, product approval and supply chain compliance management makes him well placed to understand and support the needs our varied clients. 

Jerry also has an appreciation of the need for companies to understand often complex issues in an easy, straight forward, manner specifically tailored to their size and needs.

All other members of the team are experienced technical managers from retailing, importing and manufacturing backgrounds. These careers have provided the experience needed to understand and help businesses of all sizes, with the support that they need.

The team have extensive product knowledge and supply base auditing skills. They take a sensible, practical and realistic approach in setting up uncomplicated technical systems and procedures from scratch, as well as managing implementation both internally and within the supply chain.

Jerry also heads the Safety Advisory service of the British Toy and Hobby Association and is Chairman of their Technical and Sustainability Committees. 

IQS are well placed to offer support to companies that do not have a technical department within their organisation or supplement resources for those that do.
